  • Secondary survey
  • Head and spine injuries (expanded to meet 2005 standards)
  • Head and Neck Immobilization
  • Back Boards and Collars
  • Musculoskeletal injuries
  • Soft tissue injuries
  • Sudden medical conditions
  • Poisons
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Scenarios - Written or oral examination/evaluation of knowledge
 
Standards
  • Prerequisite: None
  • Age Requirements (recommended): 12 years minimum age
  • Course Length: 16 - 18 hours
  • Standards for successful course completion: Learners must demonstrate their ability to meet all skill and knowledge objectives with a success rate of 75% or greater
  • Certification: Valid for 3 years
  • Instructor: current Red Cross First Aid instructor
